Boston-based jazz pianist Kevin Harris brings the unmistakable musical influences of Thelonious Monk, Danilo Perez, and Charlie Parker and combines them with those of J.S. Bach, Scott Joplin, and the folkloric rhythms of Cuba, resulting in a celebratory crossroads of traditional and contemporary music.
This program is part of the Grove Hall Branch Library’s Jazz Performance Series, made possible by a grant from the Citywide Friends of the Boston Public Library.
