Prime Minister Jose Maria Neves of the Republic of Cape Verde will visit the Dorchester House Multi-Service Center on Sunday, March 31st, for a public community meeting with Boston’s Cape Verdean community.
Prime Minister Neves’ visit to the United States will start on March 27th with a meeting in Washington, D.C. at the White House where he will join a quadrilateral delegation of African leaders from Sierra Leone, Senegal and Malawi.
“I am honored that Prime Minister Neves will be holding a community meeting at the Dorchester House,” said Walter J. Ramos, President and CEO of the Dorchester House. “Our health center serves one of the nation’s largest Cape Verdean communities and this will be a historic opportunity to learn about the Prime Minister’s vision for Cape Verde.”
The community meeting will be held from 5:30-7p.m. on Sunday, March 31st at the Dorchester House Multi-Service Center located at 1353 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, MA. The event is free and open to the public.
