Viet-AID, a non-profit organization in the Fields Corner neighborhood of Dorchester, will host its second annual gala event to celebrate the 11th anniversary of the Vietnamese-American Community Center
(Viet-AID Center). Mỹ Gala is the culmination of decades of civic participation by Vietnamese immigrants and refugees who, since 1975, have worked to build a strong and active community in Boston.
The gala will be held on October 5, 2013 from 6:00pm to 11:00pm at the IBEW Hall at 256 Freeport St., Dorchester, MA 02122. Last year, more than 600 people attended tthis event. Tickets are $100 per person. A special price of $50 is available for students and seniors (65 and up).
Mỹ Gala will be co-chaired by Andy Davis, president of Carney Hospital, and James P. Collins III, president of New English, Business Partners. This year we will honor Mr. Newell Flather, founder of the Gants Managers Advisors (GMA), and Ms. Nina Hang Nguyen, Esq., of HNN Law Office, PC for their outstanding contributions to the community. Our young leaders will also be recognized. There will be Vietnamese food, live music, and cultural entertainment by diverse talents from our local communities.
