Boston Natural Areas Network invites you to a free workshop where you will discover tools, hear tips and learn about the best techniques from BNAN Garden Educator Caitlin Gilson who will share her experience and eliminate the mystery of how to effectively compost in an urban setting. Composting is a great way for urban gardeners to build fertile soil with weeds and green waste that would otherwise be thrown out. We’ll dig into the City Natives compost demonstration pile to see compost that is really ‘cooking’! If you want to kick start your stagnant pile and turn it into compost that is the envy of your gardening friends as well as appreciated by your neighbors, then join us for this FREE event.
Please join us on Saturday, September 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, as part of the BNAN Resilient Garden program series. The program will be held at City Natives – BNAN’s Horticultural Learning Center—located at 30 Edgewater Drive, Mattapan (reachable by public transportation and near Mattapan Square).
Registration is required and registering early is recommended.
