A Story We Share: Massachusetts Artists Celebrating Black History and Culture
William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth, and The Massachusetts Archives & Commonwealth Museum have collaborated with the Boston Arts Academy on an art exhibit celebrating Black History Month. The exhibit, A Story We Share: Massachusetts Artists Celebrating Black History and Culture has been curated by three Boston Arts Academy students, Stacy Lafume, Rodrick Guevara and Rocky Cotard under the guidance of BAA faculty member Destiny Palmer.
We invite you to explore and enjoy the art of Stephen Hamilton, Paul Goodnight, Laurence Pierce, Lucilda Dassardo-Cooper, Adam Bullock, Shaanti Williams and Ekua Holmesan.
The exhibit runs from February 1 through February 28 at the Massachusetts Archives Building, Columbia Point, Dorchester.
The public is invited to attend the exhibit opening on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 6:00 pm. Admission is free to both the exhibit and the museum. The Commonwealth Museum is open Monday - Friday from 9-5 and free parking is available.
