Boston Natural Areas Network and the Boston Urban Forest Council will host a free, hands-on workshop about proper pruning techniques for fruit trees on Sat., Feb. 22, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Shirley-Eustis House.
The historic property is located at 33 Shirley Street, Roxbury. Adam Monroy-Gray from Home Harvest, will demonstrate how and when to make pruning cuts. You will discover pruning strategies that will improve the health of your trees and address specific problems such as crossing branches and winter storm damage.
Taking care of your trees today will improve your chances of a bountiful harvest later this year. This free program is for everyone interested in learning more about managing their trees.
