The Dorchester Day Parade Committee is hosting its 1st annual art contest open to all
Dorchester residents in the 3rd through 6th grade or students that attend a Dorchester
school. Two (2) prizes will be awarded to the drawings that are chosen from a
panel of local judges. Please fill out the registration form below and mail it with your
Art to the committee chair. A completed registration form and Art must be
postmarked by March 16, 2012 to be considered for a prize.
1.) The student must be a Dorchester resident or attend a Dorchester school.
2.) The entry must be based on the theme of the Dorchester Day Parade 2012
“Veterans and Families” & must include either a Dorchester Landmark or the Parade.
3.) All entries must be submitted on 8 by 11 paper or on the template included.
4.) All entries must be done in one of the following: pencil, crayon, paint, marker.
5.) The drawing or painting and entry form must be postmarked by March 16, 2012.
6.) Sorry, no e-mailed submissions will be accepted. They must be mailed.
The (2) prizes will be awarded during the Annual Dorchester Day Kick-off Dinner held at
the First Parish Church in Dorchester on March 29, 2012. The winners are required to
attend and will be invited describe and explain their entry.
