Boston Neighborhood Basketball League Coaches Training

Boston Centers for Youth & Families' Boston Neighborhood Basketball League (BNBL), a summer basketball league for city of Boston youth ages 11-18, is looking for volunteer basketball coaches for all boys and girls age divisions: 13 & under, 15 & under, and 18 & under. All candidates must be 18 years of age or older and must pass a CORI/SORI background check. No prior coaching experience is required. Volunteer coaches will be provided with training and a uniform. Free Tennis Lessons for Kids, Adults

Franklin Park Tennis Association will be providing free tennis lessons in Boston on weekday evenings at 5 area parks. The schedule is as follows:
Monday - Carter Park (South End)
Tuesday - Reservation Rd/Brainard St (Hyde Park)
Wednesday - Malcolm X Park (Roxbury)
Thursday - White Stadium Courts (Franklin Park)
Friday - Almont Park (Mattapan)
Each evenings schedule will be:
5-6 pm - kids 5-10
6-7 pm - kids 11-17
7-8 pm - adults
Additional programs are offered Saturdays and weekday mornings at the Shattuck Grove Tennis Courts in Franklin Park:

Register now for Dorchester Youth Soccer

Dorchester Youth Soccer Registration is now open. Registration is being held from April 1, 2009, through May 31, 2009. It is open to boys and girls age 4 – 14. The application can be downloaded at www.dyssoccer.com. Games are held from September through the middle of November and are played on Sundays at Pope John Paul Park. Come have some fun.

Dorchester Youth Hockey's Mite A team defeated Hyde Park last weekend to win the District 1 Championship. This year the Mite A team won the Mayor's Cup and the District Championships in losing only 1 game all season. Congratulations to the players Brendan T. Donovan, Aidan Burke, John. B.
