Dot women to test mettle on “Iron Brides”

Eight women engaged to be married were chosen from the auditions of 75 to take part in the MY TV reality show Iron Brides, and among those chosen eight were two with Dorchester and Mattapan connections.

Thirty-seven-year-old Eileen Weir, a Dorchester resident, is engaged to marry Francis Kelly at St. Brendan’s Church in Neponset in the fall. And 27-year-old CeceliaAnn White, a science specialist at the Marshall School in Dorchester, is engaged to marry Dwayne Green on June 19 next year in Roxbury’s Charles Street A.M.E. Church.

The brides to be will compete for $9,000 in photography and videography to capture their perfect day. The field of play will be life skills, athletic abilities and personality, plus how they handle the stress of planning their wedding. WZMY can be found at Channel 18 on Comcast cable, and the show will air sometime after the taping is completed in mid-September.
