Adams Corner restaurant held up at knifepoint

Boston Police are looking for a man with a knife who forced an employee at Gerard's Restaurant to the floor last night and got away with about $1,100 in receipts.

Police say the incident happened around 10:25 p.m. A police report describes the suspect as a black male, about 5'5", between 20 and 25 and wearing a black hoodie. He fled down Minot Street toward Carruth Street.

Police add that, at first, the worker thought the man was joking when he demanded money from two cash registers. But then he pulled out "a large kitchen knife with a white handle" and threatened to stab her with it unless she immediately opened the two registers.

Police say they were able to get fingerprints off the registers because the man touched both registers and the door and was not wearing gloves.
