UPDATE: WCVB-TV reports the two were found in Everett and are OK.

The Boston Police Department reports Maithe "Daniela" Ruiz, 10, and Angela Rivera, 12, were last seen leaving their home for school around 8:40 a.m. today.

"It is believed that the two victims may be together in the East Boston area based on the last contact made with them which was earlier this afternoon," police said in a statement.

Maithe Ruiz is 4'5", weighs 90 lbs. and was wearing a reddish-brown coat, a plaid and purple outfit and red Jordan sneakers. Angela Rivera is 4'8", weighs 90 lbs. and was wearing a pink coat, navy-blue jumper, light blue shirt and black sneakers.
