Codman Sq. gears up for Men of Boston Cook for Women's Health

The fresh ingredients that will be used in some of the much-anticipated dishes to be served at this year’s Men of Boston Cook for Women’s Health event on Thurs., Sept. 22, were previewed last week by the participants. Codman Square Health Center CEO Sandra Cotterell (seated) approved the selections offered by, from left, Dorchester’s Celebrity Chefs Ed Forry of the Boston Irish Reporter, the Dorchester Reporter’s Bill Forry, Carney Hospital President Bill Walczak, and Ashmont Grill owner and chef Chris Douglass.

Now in its 14th year, Men of Boston Cook for Women’s Health serves up an array of delicious dishes that have been prepared by many well-known restaurants in the Boston area and served by Celebrity Male Chefs. All proceeds directly benefit women patients of the Codman Square Health Center where patients are treated for breast cancer, heart disease, and HIV/AIDS. The newest programs feature Centering Pregnancy and Centering Parenting Medical Visit Groups where the focus is on group learning included in focused health care visits.
