Two men arrested for murder of 16 year-old on Geneva Ave.

Boston Police say that their homicide unit have arrested two 18 year-old men today for a September shooting on Geneva Avenue that left one 16 year-old teen dead and a 14 year-old wounded.

The suspects have been named as Nyasani Watt and Sheldon Mattis, both 18. They will each be charged with murder, assault, and possession of a firearm.

Jaivon Blake, 16, died from his injuries in the Sept. 25 shooting outside 253 Geneva Ave. The second victim, the 14 year-old male, is currently recovering from his injuries.

Police say that Watt was caught carrying a loaded firearm by District B-3 officers today "as he attempted to enter his residence at 9 Woodrow Avenue in Dorchester." Mattis was arrested at 37 West Tremlett St in Dorchester. Both suspects are expected to be arraigned today in Dorchester District Court.
