Same man may be responsible for four armed robberies and a sexual attack, police say

The Boston Police Department has released this video of an armed robbery on Sept. 27 at Ditson and Leroy streets in Fields Corner and said the man is responsible for two similar robberies there and another one nearby on Ridgewood Street. All were between 10 and 10:20 p.m., police say.

"In each of the incidents, victims reported they were approached by a black male, approximately 5'10"-6'2" with braids in his hair, wearing a red shirt and khaki pants," police said in a statement. "The suspect demanded money and stated he would stab the victims if they did not comply."

Police said they are investigating similarities between the suspect in this case and the suspect in a sexual attack and robbery around 11 p.m. the same night at Dorchester Avenue and Harbor View Street.

Police also released surveillance video of the suspect in that case:

"Detectives urge the public to watch the video closely and note the individual's gait and general appearance, particularly noting the individual's braided hair style and what appears to be a two-toned jacket/hoodie," police said. "Detectives believe the person of interest could also be operating a dark colored SUV, possibly a late model Acura."
