A man shot near Ronan Park Wednesday afternoon later died, according to Boston Police.
A call came in at 4:02 p.m. for a shooting at 92 Mount Ida Rd., said Boston Police spokeswoman Naisha Miraj. Boston Police report the man later died.
Boston Police spokesman Officer James Kenneally, said the victim was a man in his early 20s. Kenneally said the incident does not appear random, and the suspect and victim may have been known to each other.
With a severe thunderstorm over Dorchester on Wednesday, Kenneally said the rain "might impact the collection of evidence."
The incident remains under investigation, Kenneally said.
