Essaibi-George to host town hall forums in citywide tour

Boston City Councillor-at-Large Annissa Essaibi-George will kick off a series of town hall meetings later this month that will stretch across the city throughout the fall. The first will be held on Thurs., Sept. 25 at the Thelma D. Burns Building in Roxbury (575 Warren St), 5:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m.

The series will continue through October and November in different locations around the city, including Mon., Oct. 29 at the Mildred Avenue Community Center in Mattapan, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

She also plans to host a teacher-only forum on Tues., Oct. 23rd at the Boston Teachers Union Hall in Dorchester at 5 p.m.

While the bulk of the town halls are open to any member of the public, Councillor Essaibi-George does ask that interested attendees RSVP online.

Essaibi-George, a Dorchester resident, is one of four sitting at-large councillors. She chair of the Council’s Committee on Education.
