BCYF’s citywide swim league seeking kids, teens to sign on

Boston Centers for Youth & Families (BCYF) is now enrolling children and teens ages 5-17 for the annual BCYF Citywide Swim League, a developmental league that serves as an introduction to competitive swimming for more than 300 young swimmers.

In addition to improving their water skills, participants make new friends and enjoy visits to other BCYF swimming pools in Boston for meets. Swim team experience is not necessary.

The regular season meets are held once a week beginning in November. The final meet of the season, the Nakieka “Kiki” Taylor Championship Meet, will take place with all teams in March.

Dorchester swim teams and meetup locations include B.E.S.T. Orcas at Dorchester House at 1353 Dorchester Ave. (contact: info@swimbest.org); The BCYF Holland Community Center at 85 Olney St. (contact: chenault.terry@boston.gov); and the BCYF Leahy-Holloran Community Center at 1 Worrell St. (contact: lisa.zinck@boston.gov).
