Fit Kitchen class returns to ADSL for fall session

Fit Kitchen, a free, interactive cooking class hosted by All Dorchester Sports League (ADSL) that teaches youth and families how to enjoy eating healthy on a budget, will reconvene for its fall session in the coming weeks. The weekly class is scheduled to meet at ADSL at 1565 Dorchester Ave. on Saturday, November 2; Saturday, November 9; and Saturday November 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Classes are taught by registered nutritionists and ADSL staff, who put together family lessons for all ages. Often, a healthy meal and snack will be taken home, along with information on healthy eating and what is best to feed our bodies.

Fit Kitchen focuses on getting the best result with obstacles like limited time, small budgets, and many mouths to feed. All meals are prepared with basic appliances. Special guests like local city and state officials or guest chefs often sit in on classes.

All are invited to attend this class whether to pick up a recipe or start a whole new lifestyle of healthy eating. For more information and to register, visit alldorchestersports.org.
