Carson Beach will be site of Saturday's "summer send-off"

Boston Harbor Now is partnering with other organizations to close-out the summer with outdoor activities and free vaccinations at its Carson Beach Summer Send-Off on Saturday, Sept. 11.

At the event, the nonprofit focused on preserving Boston Harbor will offer kayaking, volleyball, cardio dance, swimming, and bocce ball from 12 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. A photo booth and performances from the Boston Circus Guild will round out the event.

At the Edward J. McCormack Bath House, a pop-up clinic will provide free vaccinations to anyone who needs their first or second dose of the vaccine. Insurance and ID cards are not required to receive a vaccine.

For the event, Boston Harbor Now partnered with National Park Service, National Park Foundation, Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, the City of Boston, Coalition for a Resilient and Inclusive Waterfront, Save the Harbor/Save the Bay, Piers Park Sailing Center, and Volo Sports.

No tickets are required to attend the event. Attendees can register to stay up-to-date on the event. More info available at: bostonharbornow.org/summersendoff
