The Boston Police Department reports a woman was fatally shot at 12 Greenock St. off Blue Hill Avenue in Dorchester around 5:25 a.m. on Saturday.

Police say a second victim managed to get to a local hospital despite being shot several times and is expected to survive.

Police were initially alerted to the gunfire by the BPD's SpotSpotter system, which detected 13 rounds fired.
