Friday nights are back, and the Archbishop Williams varsity football team is, as always, ready to light up the field with plenty of blue and gold pride. This year’s roster is powered by a strong core of players from Dorchester, whose toughness and leadership, the coach says, set the tone for the entire team.

The players include Calum Burke, James Neff, AJ Sanchez, Zay Whigham, Jadon Beatty, Brandon Hill, Leo Lovering, David Santiago, and Sean Maginnis.

Head Coach Mark Landolfi, a 1986 grad from the Braintree school, describes them as leaders on and off the field.

“They’re athletes who bring energy to practices, resilience in tough moments, and encouragement for their teammates. They not only contribute to our pursuit of wins, but they also serve as role models, proving that hard work and character matter as much as athletic ability.”

AWHS attracts students from across the South Shore and Greater Boston.
