Rainesi Gonzalez Soto of Dorchester has been awarded a prestigious academic scholarship from the Jennison Charitable Foundation in the amount of $15,000 to support her tuition at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where she plans to major in finance.
Rainesi was selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants due to her exceptional academic achievements, active involvement in extracurricular activities, and her steadfast commitment to making a positive impact in her community.
She graduated from Fontbonne Academy last May after achieving a commendable GPA of 3.36. Throughout her time at the academy, she served as a peer mediator, an advocate for fellow students, and retreat leader while also representing the academy as an ambassador.
The Dorchester-based Jennison Charitable Foundation is dedicated to promoting education and supporting outstanding individuals in their pursuit of academic excellence. “We wholeheartedly wish Rainesi Gonzalez Soto continued success as she embarks on this new chapter in her academic career,” a foundation spokesperson said.
