The Ashmont-Adams neighborhood will kick off the season in a big way on Saturday, Nov. 29, with a pair of longtime traditions: the 10th Annual Ashmont Holiday Market and the 30th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.
The Holiday Market, held at the Parish of All Saints from 2–6:30 p.m., has become a “Small Business Saturday” staple, drawing neighbors for an afternoon of shopping, music, and seasonal snacks. More than 25 local craft and food vendors are expected, along with free family activities and live entertainment.
Festivities move outside around 6:45 p.m. when the Dorchester Holiday Trolley Tour—featuring Santa and Mayor Michelle Wu—rolls into its final stop at Ashmont Station for the tree lighting. Greater Ashmont Main Street will offer entertainment, hot cocoa, and goodie bags for 250 kids.
The celebration continues nearby at Tavolo, which will host the official after-party from 7–9 p.m. with complimentary light bites.
