Two-alarm fire damages Train Street home; one firefighter treated for injury

A two-alarm fire on Train Street damaged a two-family house on Tuesday morning, Nov. 11, 2025…

Flames engulfed the rear of the second and third floors of a multi-family home at 25 Train St. around 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, emerging from the windows and spreading fast as numerous fire crews arrived on scene.

Boston firefighters quickly attacked the rear and top floors of the home where flames could be seen shooting out of the windows and spreading to the back decks. The jakes made quick work of the blaze and had things under control by about 9:15 a.m., when some crews began to exit the scene while other firefighters continued to spray down hot spots on the rear of the house.

Deputy Chief Brian Tully told reporters that one firefighter was transported by Boston EMS, but residents in the home were safely evacuated early in the response. He estimated damages were $500,000.
