Uphams Corner classical guitarist Aaron Larget-Caplan will be the featured performer tomorrow at the Boston Public Library’s Copley Branch Concert in the Courtyard.
The performance will be part of the Friday lunchtime concerts that feature local musicians playing a range of genres. This concert is also part of the Revolutionary Art programmatic theme.
American classical guitarist and composer Aaron Larget-Caplan, a long-time Dorchester resident, has performed more than 1,000 concerts across Europe, Russia, Taiwan, and the US. Largat-Caplan has been featured several times in The Reporter, including this feature from 2011. He directs and curates the Spanish dance ensemble ¡Con Fuego!, regularly performs chamber music, and has multiple contemporary music projects.
His 11 solo albums have earned over 10 million streams, and he has seven publications of John Cage, Alan Hovhaness, and contemporary composers. Raised in Colorado he makes his home in Uphams Corner and is on faculty at the New England Conservatory.
The concert begins at 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 11, and ends at 1:30 p.m. Seating is limited in the outdoor courtyard.
