Greater Ashmont Fall Meeting

Wednesday, November 15, 2017

Wednesday, November 15, 6-8pm, Greater Ashmont Main Street Fall Meeting, at Epiphany School, 154 Centre Street, Dorchester (Shawmut MBTA stop)

Join us for our fall informational meeting to visit with neighbors and friends over light dinner from Caffe Zia Gianna, our newest Boston Main Streets district business, while you hear what our committees have been up to and learn more about specific topics of general interest to the neighborhood. Specifically, this year we will feature two shorter presentations about:

* The Historic Preservation Index Greater Ashmont Main Street's Development & Historic Preservation committee has prepared in partnership with members of the Board of the Dorchester Historical Society, categorizing every building and parcel along our 1.1 mile stretch of Dot Ave in relation to its historic value and how we would prioritize restoration or redevelopment.

* The final report from Howard Stein Hudson's Complete Streets Sensitive Parking Study of our commercial district and our planned next steps for advocacy and solutions. Their study was generously funded by an Impact & Innovation Grant from the Boston Main Streets Foundation, supplemented by further contributions from Trinity Financial/Trinity Management LLC, TLee Development, and JPM Development.
