Flaherty launches TV ad, with radio, internet ads to follow

Amid the hoopla over City Hall employees deleting emails and potentially violating the state records law, the Flaherty campaign on Sunday started running a television ad.

The ad buy is for $200,000, with the ad running through the Sept. 22 preliminary. It is the campaign’s only television ad so far.

The campaign plans to launch radio ads tomorrow, as well as buy space on Boston.com and Phoenix.com, the websites of the Boston Globe and Boston Phoenix, respectively. Print newspapers will also be thrown into the mix.

The other media buys will total about an additional $35,000, according to Natasha Perez, a Flaherty spokeswoman.

Yoon's camp also launched several radio ads this week.

The Menino campaign launched an ad last week that drew criticism and mockery from the other candidates.
