Three city councillors back O'Toole

Three sitting city councillors have come out in support of District 3 candidate John O’Toole.

Joining with their outgoing colleague Maureen Feeney in support of O’Toole: Rob Consalvo (District 5), Mark Ciommo (District 9) and Sal LaMattina (District 1).

“For John it has always been about doing everything in his power to make Dorchester a better place and never about who got the credit,” Consalvo said in a statement. “It is this type of selfless leadership that makes me look forward to working with John on the City Council.”

In their own statements, Ciommo and LaMattina praised O’Toole’s 14-year tenure as head of the Cedar Grove Civic Association.

Consalvo represents Hyde Park, Roslindale and part of Mattapan, while Ciommo’s district covers Allston and Brighton, and LaMattina has East Boston, Charlestown, the North End and Beacon Hill.

All three councillors are running for reelection unopposed.
