A fire reported around 4:45 p.m. on Thursday 83 Evans St. [3] quickly went to two alarms.

A babysitter and one teen escaped, but firefighters had to rush into the building to find the teen's twin sister. The Boston Globe The Globe reports [4] Lt. Michael Sameski found her unconscious but was able to get her out of the building.

This is the second time in two years Sameski has saved a child's life. At a fire on Blue Hill Avenue in Mattapan [5] in November, 2007, Sameski climbed up a painter's ladder [6] to save a little girl.
