Man charged with two church burglaries

A man originally charged with breaking into a North End church is now charged with stealing from seven churches across the city, including two in Dorchester.

ShinerThe Boston Police Department on Monday charged Richard Shiner, 44, with breaking into All Saints Church, 209 Ashomont St. on Nov. 27 and St Ann's Church, 252 Neponset Ave., on Dec. 1.

Shiner is also charged with breaking into or stealing from churches downtown and in Roxbury and the South End, including Holy Cross Cathedral and Mission Church.

Last month, police arrested another man with an alleged penchant for church break-in for a burglary at St. Brendan's church.
