The Boston Police Department reports it will be charging an assistant at the Harbor Pilot Middle School with lewd and lascivious behavior for an incident involving “a disabled, non-verbal student.”
In a statement, police said: “Detectives from the Crimes Against Children’s Unit continue to actively investigate this incident to determine the potential for additional charges. In addition, detectives are conferring with experts in non-verbal communication to address the complexities associated with this case.”
Police did not specify what led to the charge – and others they said they may bring – but WBZ reports the mother said the aide sexually assaulted her son, and that the worker has been put on paid leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
