GLOBE POLL: City Councillor At-Large John Connolly holds a slight edge in the Globe poll posted on Saturday night. The poll says just 25 percent of voters have made a decision in the first open mayoral race in 30 years. Dive into the details here (PDF). More polls are expected in the coming days, including from Suffolk University’s polling unit.

FIRST WALSH AD: State Rep. Marty Walsh’s campaign releases its first ad, which focuses on his biography (Son of Irish immigrants, survived cancer, overcame a drinking problem, became a state legislator and labor leader). The ad, developed by AKPD Message and Media, the firm started by Obama adviser David Axelrod, is called “Fair Shot.” The Walsh campaign also reported raising $209,432 since Sept. 1.
