(UPDATED) #BosMayor Round-Up: Sept. 23, 2013

1 day to the Sept. 24 preliminary. Driving the day: The expected resignation of Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis. The news broke on Sunday, as mayoral candidates were out canvassing, attending GOTV rallies and fundraising. The candidates, over the course of the campaign, were frequently pressed by reporters and community activists on whether they would keep him or hire a new police commissioner. Polls open in less than 24 hours. State Rep. Marty Walsh holds a get-out-the-vote rally tonight at McConnell Park in Savin Hill. Former state Rep. Charlotte Golar Richie ends the day at the Whole Foods in Jamaica Plain, while District 5 Councillor Rob Consalvo will be at the Roche Brothers in West Roxbury. District 8 Councillor Michael Ross is ending the preliminary race just like he started it -- with a 25 hour campaign tour of the city.

ODDS & ENDS: The New York Times offers this take on the mayoral race.....Dorchester’s Joyce Linehan writes about why she supports state Rep. Marty Walsh in the mayor’s race.....Savin Hill's Bill Walczak will take to the skies of Boston, with a “Vote Bill Walczak – Stop the Casino,” Monday morning and afternoon, Boston magazine’s David Bernstein reports.....The group Elevate Boston has posted candidates' responses to their questionnaire.
