Authorities say argument inside Chinese take-out place led to murder

A Quincy man was ordered held without bail Tuesday on charges he fatally stabbed another man in the neck outside the Chung Wah take-out place at 199 Bowdoin St. Thursday evening, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

According to prosecutors, Edgardo Clark, 29, got into a confrontation with Gerald Williamson, 31, around 7:30 p.m. In a statement, the DA's office says:

"Clark allegedly followed the victim out of the restaurant and started a physical altercation, during which Clark pulled out a knife. Even after Williamson attempted to retreat, Clark used the knife to stab him in the neck, prosecutors said."

Clark fled, but left behind the knife and a hat, according to the DA's office. He was identified through surveillance videos and witness statements.

Police obtained a warrant Friday; Clark turned himself in yesterday. He was arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
