The BPD's Cold Case Unit is hoping to get fresh tips with the help of a newly generated facial reconstruction sketch that depicts one of two unidentified teenaged boys who were found dead in a wooded area off Eldon Street in 1988.

The remains of the two male victims were found on Oct. 6, 1988. Both are thought to have ties to the Bronx, New York area and may have been deceased for several days, according to Boston Police.

The first boy— who may have been as young as 14 at the time of his death— is the one depicted in this image. He was about 5' 4" tall, 130 pounds with short cropped black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a gray sweater, blue shirt, blue jeans, red underwear, white socks, and white Avia sneakers. Investigators believe he may have gone by the name Clayton.

He was found next to a second young black male victim, who is also unidentified but might have been using the name Hooker, police say. He was approximately 15-17 years-old when he was killed. Police have not said how the two teens were killed.

Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact the Detective John F. Cronin in the Boston Police Homicide/Cold Case Unit at (617)343-5837. Or call anonymously into the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1-(800)-494-TIPS. You may also text the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463).
