Sunday (7th)
– Dorchester Day Parade starts at 1 p.m., Dorchester Avenue and Richmond Street to Columbia Road.

• Project DEEP and Blarney Stone co-sponsor the annual Dorchester Day 5k. Race starts at 12:15 p.m. from the Blarney Stone, 1505 Dorchester Ave.
Adult: $30 pre-race fee/$35 race day fee
Children under 12 yrs: $15 pre-race fee/$20 race day fee.

Tuesday (9th)
– Uphams Corner Main Streets (UCMS) celebrates its 20th year on June 9 at the Strand Theatre, 545 Columbia Rd. State Senator Linda Dorcena Forry will deliver the keynote address. Enjoy a night of music, entertainment, food, drink and a live auction. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased in advance at the UCMS offices or at the door. • Community meeting on MBTA’s planned sale of the commuter parking lot next to Mattapan station is set for 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Mattapan Branch of the Boston Public Library at 1350 Blue Hill Avenue.

• The Dorchester YMCA’s Honors Event with Honorary Chair Jim Brett celebrates Dorchester and honors three outstanding OFD (originally from Dorchester) or DBC (Dorchester by choice) community leaders: Boston Mayor Martin J.
