Thursday (26th) – Franklin Park Turkey Trot starts at 9 a.m. Start your holiday with a 5K walk/run through the jewel of Frederick Law Olmsted’s Emerald Necklace. Friday (27th)
– Fiddlehead Theatre Company presents the enchanting fable Disney’s The Little

Saturday (28th)
– The annual holiday tree lighting tour of Dorchester villages begins at 3 p.m. in Neponset Circle. The event is organized by the Dorchester Holiday Celebrations Committee and the Mayor’s Office. The stops on this year’s tour will include Neponset Circle (3 p.m.); Port Norfolk (3:30p.m.); Harbor Point (4 p.m.); Meetinghouse Hill’s Allen Park (4:30p.m.); Uphams Corner at the Strand Theater (5 p.m.); Blessed Mother Theresa at 5:30 p.m. 6:00 Ryan Playground (6 p.m.) Fields Corner’s Doherty/Gibson Playground (6:30 p.m.); Adams/King St Playground (7 p.m.) and Peabody Square at 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday (1st)
– Roberts Playground Community Meeting, 6:30-8 p.m. at Dorchester YMCA, 776 Washington St. Dorchester. The second in a series of meetings to discuss upcoming improvements the playground located at 56 Dunbar Ave. Call 617-961-3058.

Wednesday (2nd)

Thursday (3rd)
– Congressman Stephen F. Lynch (D-Boston) hosts a 7 p.m. forum at Milton High School, 25 Gile Road to address growing complaints about the frequency and increased levels of airplane noise in local towns and neighborhoods that are impacted by Logan Airport.

• Mayor Martin J. Walsh and the Honourable Stephen McNeil, Premier of Nova Scotia, will host Boston’s 74th annual Tree Lighting on Boston Common from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
