Thursday (22nd) – St. Mary’s Center for Women and Children hosts Diamonds of Dorchester, a reception, dinner, and live auction event from 6-8:30p.m. at the Fairmont Copley Plaza. • The Greater Four Corners Action Coalition (GFCAC) hosts its annual meeting at 6 p.m. at the Greenwood Memorial United Methodist Church, 378A Washington St., Dorchester. Open to the public. Featuring live jazz, informative guest speakers, and dinner, the meeting will share updates on GFCAC’s recent accomplishments and future plans. Friday (23rd)

• Lighting the Line, a multi-community public art extravaganza celebrated aboard the MBTA Fairmount Commuter Line and at five stations/neighborhood parties along the line. Dudley and Humprhrey St., 4:30 p.m. Enjoy family activities, food, live performances, music and dancing, in transit and at Four Corners/Geneva Ave, Talbot Ave, Morton St and Fairmount Ave. Then come together for the Uphams Corner party and ceremony unveiling the new, permanent bridge light installation created by John Powell. 5-9 p.m., ceremony 7 p.m.

Saturday (24th)
– Zoo Howl at Franklin Park Zoo. Children throughout New England are invited to trick-or-treat among the animals at Franklin Park Zoo.

• Irish Pastoral Centre Annual Fundraiser at Florian Hall starts at 6:30 p.m. Guest of Honor is Ken Casey.

Sunday (25th) – Cedar Grove Garden’s annual Harvest Festival, 12:30-3 p.m. Free. Features horse drawn wagon rides,”hayrides”, through Dorchester’s own garden cemetery, Cedar Grove Cemetery from 1-3 p.m. Pinatas for the kids to swing at starting at 1:45, 2:15 and 2:45 p.m. Free popcorn, balloons, cider and apples. Coloring for the little ones and prizes. Rain or shine event. Costumes for kids are encouraged! 

Thursday (29th)
– Harvard Street Neighborhood Health Center hosts a Celebration of Health honoring Darnell L. Williams, & CEO Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts and Michael A. Curry, President of Boston NAACP.. Reception at 6p.m., program at 7 p.m. at the Seaport Boston Hotel.
