Men of Boston team with Boston’s finest eateries for women’s health

Codman Square Health Center hosted its annual Men of Boston Cook for Women’s Health event with lead sponsors Delta Dental of Massachusetts and Shawmut Design & Construction on Thursday, October 1 under the Gala Tent at 637 Washington St.

In support of Women’s Health programs at Codman Square Health Center, over 1,000 guests gathered to sample an international mix of cuisine, with some of the area’s most notable men serving up delectable fare from more than 30 of Boston’s finest restaurants and caterers. This year’s establishments included Paul Wahlberg’s Alma Nove, Eastern Standard, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, The Friendly Toast, and local Dorchester favorites like Ashmont Grill, Tavolo Ristorante, and ester. Celebrity Chefs included Governor Charlie Baker, Mayor Martin J. Walsh, Dropkick Murphy’s Ken Casey, Police Commissioner Bill Evans, Patriots Alum Patrick Pass, CNN’s John King, WGBH’s Jim Braude and many more.

Since 1995, Men of Boston Cook for Women’s Health has raised crucial funds to combat women’s health issues such as breast cancer, diabetes, heart disease and HIV/AIDS. The Health Center serves more than 10,000 women a year in and around Dorchester. A premier provider of medical and community services, Codman Square Health Center is dedicated to providing integrated clinical and social services that address health disparities, build social capital and meet the complex needs of our communities.
