St. Brendan’s parish thanks O’Reilly family with dinner event

St. Brendan’s Parish will host a “Thank You” Dinner Event to give back what one generous and dedicated family has given to them for over 25 years. St. Brendan’s will be thanking three members of the O’Reilly family clan: Mary Redmond, Theresa Lohmar, and Annie Burke.

Thanks to these three sisters and their parents, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends, a Cocktail Party fundraiser has been thrown for both the church and school for over 25 years. This year will be the final year for the fundraising event and Marty Allen couldn’t think of a better way to thank them than having them sit down and be served with a special dinner.

Hosted by volunteers and funded by parishioners and general donations, everyone is on board to thank the O’Reilly family clan for all of their dedication and service. Members of the parish will be setting up the entire event— from coat check and wait staff to bartenders. They will be dressed the part wearing only black and white, ready to serve as they have been served.

The parishioners gathered up the names of all the men and women who have worked with the O’Reilly family clan in the past to plan the Cocktail Party fundraiser for St. Brendan’s.

“We have prepared for 50 guests, and we wanted those guests that never had the chance to get dressed up and have a good night like we have to be able to do just that,” said Allen.

The event will be hosted on Saturday, Nov. 14 at Fr. Lane Hall. To donate to the event or volunteer, contact Marty Allen at 617-312-8058.
