The Boston Police Department today announced the arrest of a 14-year-old and a 16-year-old on charges they shot Jonathan Dos Santos to death as he rode a bicycle on Fuller Street Wednesday evening.

Both will be tried as adults. The Suffolk County District Attorney's office reported the older one is named Dushawn Taylor-Gennis; it will release the younger boy's name on Monday.

Police Commissioner William Evans said both good police work and tips from the community led detectives to the pair.

"We asked community members to step up and help us identify those responsible for this senseless murder and they did," he said. "And, for their help, we are grateful."
