Morrissey will be flooded this week due to high tides

The state's Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) expects that high tides will prompt temporary detours and/or roadway closures along Morrissey Boulevard between UMass Boston and Freeport Street today through Thursday. The flooding is expected to start around noon each day and impact the roadway each afternoon. The agency says that message boards will "inform motorists of the likelihood of roadway closures during these periods of high tide. Traffic and detour routes will be clearly posted and a police detail will assist if necessary."
