A person was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash on Dorchester Avenue on Tuesday evening, police said.

Officers were called for a pedestrian struck around 7:02 p.m. in the area of 1855 Dorchester Ave., said BPD spokesman Officer Stephen McNulty. The driver did not remain at the scene.

The victim, who is not being identified, suffered serious, “possibly life-threatening” injuries, and remains at an area hospital, McNulty said Wednesday morning.

No further information was immediately released and the investigation is ongoing.
