A 19 year-old man was shot to death near Fields Corner overnight, according to Boston Police.

The victim, who has not yet been named, was found outside 12 Vinson St. just after 2 a.m. Police responded to the scene after a ShotSpotter activation and found the young man shuttering from "an apparent gunshot wound." He was rushed to a hospital where he later died.

The victim, suffering life threatening injuries, was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The murder is the sixth in the last week in Boston.
