The Boston Police Department reports a man was shot at 37 Almont St. in Mattapan shortly after 3 a.m. on Saturday.

He was declared dead at the scene.

On Aug. 2, a man was charged with brandishing a gun during a football game at Almont Park. On July 19, somebody was shot in the arm in the park.
