Museum of Bad Art to open gallery in Dot Brewing space

The Museum of Bad Art, which bills itself as “the world’s first and foremost museum dedicated to the collection, preservation, exhibition, and celebration of bad art,” will open a temporary gallery inside the Dorchester Brewing Company next month. The museum — formerly based in Somerville— has collected and exhibited items found in yard sales, in thrift stores, and in sidewalk trash since 1993. The new gallery will show about 40 pictures from MOBA’s collection of more than 800 pieces.

Organizers are planning an opening reception for Tues., Sept. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at DBCo, 1250 Massachusetts Ave., Dorchester.
