Boston Police are investigating two shooting incidents that occurred early Thursday morning, with one resulting in non-life threatening injuries to a male victim who was shot multiple times on a sidestreet near the B-3 police station.

A second early morning “shots fired” incident happened just after midnight closer to Fields Corner.

Police responded to Theodore Street— just off of Morton Street— at 1:24 a.m. for a ShotSpotter activation and found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Boston EMS responded and transported the man to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to a BPD report. No arrests have been made and police continue to investigate the incident.

Earlier in the morning, at 12:01 a.m., police in Area C-11were alerted to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of Fields Corner around the 400th block of Geneva Avenue. Officers searched for victims and didn’t find anyone injured, but did find 14 shell casings on the sidewalk spanning from the 500th block to the 400th block of Geneva Avenue – near Vinson Street. One vehicle was found to have been hit by ballistics.

A witness told police that two Black males on a scooter drove by and one with a blue hoodie on the back began shooting a firearm toward the houses along the street. The scooter then fled and took a left on Bowdoin Street, the witness stated.

This was backed up later by surveillance camera footage, police say. No arrests have been made and police continue to investigate the incident.
