Boston firefighters responded to 7 Becket St. for what turned into a 3-alarm fire around 7 p.m. on Wednesday – which spread to an adjoining house at 2038 Dorchester Ave.
The Boston Fire Department reports two residents were injured in the fire in the three decker on Becket Street and that 18 residents and several pets were displaced. WCVB reports firefighters rescued the two injured residents from windows they were hanging out of.
Not long after, firefighters had to battle a basement fire on Dorchester Avenue, which had spread from the Becket Street house. The rear yards of the two houses back up against each other.
The department reports four people were displaced by the Dorchester Avenue fire.
