Boston Police report that an adult male was shot to death on Monday morning (Jan. 5)— shortly after midnight— on Stow Road in Mattapan. The shooting happened “in the area of 24 Stow Road” at “approximately 12:12 a.m.,” police said.
The victim was later named as Alex DeAndrade, 37, of Brockton.
The victim was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside a car parked on the street. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital, according to a BPD account.
It is the second homicide of the year in Boston. The first took place in the Back Bay after a man allegedly ran down a pedestrian and a pet dog on the Commonwealth Mall on Jan. 2.
