The Sarah Greenwood Middle School volleyball team defended its city title last Saturday (June 20) in the Madison Park Gym – stretching their run to three-straight city championships. The finals this year were a thriller, as the defending Greenwood team outlasted the Murphy School in three sets.
The team had been disappointed in having their season delayed and only getting three regular season games, then having their tournament postponed on June 13. The re-scheduled tournament was down to five teams from 16 last year due to the delays.
